"These poems are situated in and involve Lake Superior and the Midwest, and the box is made of wood from curly Red Maple trees which grow in the area, a kind of wood whose wavy figure is watery, and a Red Oak cover with horizontal grain in the style of medieval Armenian bookbinding. It includes a handmade paper incense card that is steeped in a tincture of pine resin and needles, to invoke the place via smell, and is joined by a bone clasp pin."
