OK, so it's a house, just a normal house—with a floor plan larger than itself and several corners that you can never quite see around. A dog remains framed forever in the doorway, the broom in the corner never moves, and the whole place never stops growing, larger and larger, inside. We look in through the windows: 1655, Dordrecht: Samuel van Hoogstraten built a tiny house that now lives in the National Gallery in London; we look in through the windows, into an inverted architecture, knowing that there where sight exceeds the seer, the house itself begins.
