Advanced Baby Syndrome

Advanced Baby Syndrome swims through screen and interface, mimicking, free-associating, and performing unnatural forms of charisma. It is part prose meditation and part lyric mediation. Poetry's function as the maker of spirit and marker is turned outside out, becoming a perverse topological buffet where popular culture is melting into the everyday and vice versa. The ghost of modernism occasionally stops by too, this time bearing an almost abject nostalgia instead of a charge to make it new. Writing, data-gathering, information all now happen automatically and the reader may wonder where in the immaculate morass of world and internet, the self and community may act with agency. The author guesses that soup, tarp, and warmth would have to be involved.
