The Dog's Letter

The Dog's Letter traverses the sounds and silences of a family tending to a suffering child, Maya. In pursuit of an affective origin of the word canicular, the poems trace the dimensions of a yellow zone between hospital walls and the exhaustion of the first person. With Maya as guide, the sequence gathers what it can of her words–before she refuses to speak.
